About
God has opened a door, and we have a great opportunity to lead our first SLMI 2024 Summer mission trip to the Dominican Republic at the end of July with our partners at Mission of Hope. Nothing happens without prayer, so I ask that you pray for this mission and the team God assembles. We have ten openings, and if you are interested in coming with us, joining our prayer team, or helping send our team, we would love to talk with you!
Embarking on a Life-Changing Mission
The Switzerland dance team is preparing for an incredible journey, and they need adults to join them as chaperones, mentors, and helpers. Peru, particularly its capital city Lima, has faced numerous challenges. While many people are aware of the gospel, there is a prevailing lack of personal faith in Jesus Christ, leading to growing distrust and negativity. Imagine the powerful impact of these dancers sharing their hope and faith, glorifying God through the beauty and emotion of their performances.

This marks the dance team's 10th historic trip to South America to support the Proclaim Peru team and the local churches they partner with. Since 2013, they have traveled every summer, except for two years when severe restrictions were in place. The team works diligently to raise the necessary funds for each trip, demonstrating immense faith and commitment. Some of the dancers have participated multiple times, starting as young as 11 or 12 years old. Through their efforts, God has worked not only through them but also within them.
Kairos
I’ve been blessed to serve on a preaching rotation for Sunday evening chapel in a local men’s state prison. Behind the walls of the prison, the Spirit is tangible as the men begin singing worship to the music led by an inmate worship team. The men are hungry for truth and asking questions and we have baptized nearly 50 men through these nights of worship, fellowship and preaching. God is transforming the lives of these men and prayerfully they will be new creations when the get released.
